The Brazilian visa system operates under a strict reciprocity policy.
That means that all citizens from countries which require visas from Brazilians will have to obtain visas to attend the conference. Beware that to attend a scientific conference in Brazil a tourist visa suffices. Source: Consulate General of Brazil

How to get here:
From and to Rio de Janeiro International Airport there are special and regular buses connecting to Niterói and other areas of Rio de Janeiro. Prices, times and line numbers are available here
The special buses going to Niterói are lines 760 and 761 managed by the company 1001 Viação
To go to Tower Hotel you should get off the bus at the first stop on Rua Joaquim Távora.
To go to Hotel Cantareira you should get off the bus at the first stop on Rua Hernani Melo.
For those preferring a taxi, there are plenty at the airport, but you might also want to use the smartphone app
, with cheaper prices and log rides.
Participants (others than invited speakers) are expected to managed their own reservation.

You can also find plenty of tourist attractions within Niterói:
- Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Niterói (MAC), a 30 min walk along the shore from Campus.
- Praia de Itacoatiara,
- Parque da Cidade, beautiful view of Bahia de Guanabara.
- Jurujuba, where you can visit Fortaleza de Santa Cruz da Barra (a 45 min guided visit every hour) and find many seafood restaurants.
- Portugal Pequeno and Mercado São Pedro (seafood market), in the neighborhood of “Ponta d’Areia”, next to downtown.
- Teatro Municipal de Niterói (Rua Quinze de Novembro, 35, Centro, Niterói)

Informal bar where musicians play for fun. Therefore there is no clear time for the music to start. Free of charge.
